MaxxiSharp: Max, the sharpness expert

The inventor of MaxxiSharp is Max Pachinger from the Austrian province of Upper Austria. He is an expert when it comes to sharp knives and blades: he was a master butcher for decades. Sharpening blades was his daily routine.

Pachinger began to look into the subject of razor blades. And looked for a way to extend the service life of disposable razors – also for ecological reasons. After all, he thought the tonnes and tonnes of plastic waste produced every year was madness from an environmental point of view.

He searched for suitable sharpening tools and textiles, tried internet tricks such as denim or leather and tested the various razor blade sharpeners available to buy online. The results were all sobering: none of the products even came close to fulfilling his professional requirements.

Pachinger was already retired when he came across a specialist from the textile industry … And so the journey together began. Sharpness and blade expertise from the butcher’s trade met material expertise from the textile sector.

That was the birth of MaxxiSharp. The result: a textile revolution invented, developed and produced in Europe that helps disposable razors live much longer, simply and cost-effectively.
